Flashlights

A flashlight is a handheld portable lighting device that runs either on a powersource such as batteries, rechargable batteries, or from energy stored from sunlight or shaking of the flashlight. Flashlights come in a variety of sizes, shapes, styles and brands. Recently, flashlights which use light-emitting diodes (LEDs) instead of conventional lightbulbs have become available. These LED flashlights last longer, burn brighter and consume less energy than conventional bulbs. Other flashlight designs include combination radio-flashlights, headlamps that can be worn around the head to keep the hands free, mini flashlights that can be carried in the pocket.
