Mediation

Mediation covers any activity in which an impartial third party facilitates an agreement on any matter in the common interest of the parties involved. Mediation is typically viewed as a fair and efficient process to help parties to resolve disputes and reach an agreement. A neutral mediator assists in reaching a voluntary, negotiated agreement. Mediation exists in a variety of fields from family law and divorce to employment law to debt mediation. Mediation is a form of Alternative Dispute Resolution. The mediator helps the parties to agree on a mutually acceptable resolution and the mediation process is strictly confidential. Mediating a case before a lawsuit is filed enables the parties to present their case to a mutually selected neutral person before any money is spent on litigation. The cost of mediating a case is minimal compared to the costs incurred through the life of a lawsuit.
