Thread Gauges

Standard thread pitch gauge measures the number of threads per inch; Metric thread pitch gauge measures the distance between threads in millimeters. All thread pitch gauges are often used the same way in identifying internal or external threads, regardless of whether they are standard or metric. Thread pitch gauges are used as a reference tool in determining the pitch of a thread that is on a screw or in a tapped hole. Thread gauges are useful to determine the thread pitch and diameter of bolts and machine screws.
