Piezo switches
With piezo technology, a naturally occurring crystal, when subjected to a mechanical 'push' force or stress, produces an electrical output which is transduced through electronic circuitry for switching . Piezo switches have no moving parts, are waterproof and impervious to other types of contamination and are unaffected by EMI or RFI. Piezoelectricity is the ability of crystals to generate a voltage in response to a pressure change or movement of the crystal. Conventional electromechanical switches have moving parts that inevitably wear out. Piezo switches are ideal for use in harsh applications and environments. Piezo switches offer many advantages.
