Maxim developed and marketed over 5,000 ICs—more than any other analog semiconductor company in the past 23 years. Maxim Integrated Products was established in 1983. In 2001, Maxim acquired Dallas Semiconductor. Maxim was founded by former employees of GE Intersil and National Semiconductor. Maxim Semiconductor had early market successwith power supply monitor chips.
