Vitrectomy is a microsurgical procedure in which specialized instruments and techniques are used to repair retinal disorders, many of which were previously considered inoperable. A vitrectomy can replace the clouded liquid in the eye with a clear substance so you can see again. Vitrectomy is a procedure accomplishes removal of the vitreous humor of the eye. Vitrectomy is a surgery to remove some or all of the vitreous humor from the eye. Vitrectomy may be performed to clear blood and debris from the eye. Vitrectomy is usually used for serious eye conditions.
