Tubal Reversal
In the past, a tubal ligation reversal was impossible but today many women are able to get their tubes untied and conceive again. Traditionally, tubal reversals are a two to three hour procedure done under general anesthesia. During the surgery, the doctor will unclamp, reattach or place an implant into your fallopian tubes, thereby making them functional again. If you think you might want to reverse the procedure some day, don't have a tubal sterilization. Tubal reversal procedures are complicated, are often not successful, are expensive and are usually not covered by health insurance. The information on tubal reversal is for your information only and is not intended to substitute for the medical expertise and advice of your primary health care provider.
