High Cholesterol
Cholesterol can build up on the walls of your arteries and this buildup of cholesterol is called plaque. Over time, plaque can cause narrowing of the arteries (hardening of the arteries) which can lead to reduced circulation, blood supply and oxygen to vital organs such as the heart. Blockage of key arteries can lead to heart attacks.
Diet, weight, exercise, and genetics determine cholesterol levels. Any cholesterol treatment requires a multifaceted approach that considers: dietary changes, nutritional supplements, effective exercises, lifestyle changes and even medical drug options.
