Viaticals

Recent additions are pricey day trading seminars, supposedly high yielding promissory notes and investments on viatical settlements (life insurance policies on terminally ill people). A viatical settlement is an arrangement in which a chronically or terminally ill person sells a life insurance policy in return for an immediate, discounted, tax free cash payment. Buying a viatical is purchasing the life insurance policy of a terminally ill person with less than a few years to live. Viatical literally means: of or relating to travel, a road, or a way. Viaticals are purchased by investors through viatical brokers.
