Credit Scoring
Although calculating credit scores is closely guarded, the following components are known to effect credit scoring: 1) punctuality of past payments; 2) the ratio of current debt to total available credit; 3) length of credit history; 4) types of credit used; 5) recent search for credit and/or amount of credit obtained recently.
Know your current credit score. It is your consumer right and it is free. Credit scoring can be complicated but you can easily find out your credit score here.
