Six Sigma
A key aspect of any Six Sigma program is statistical control. Many organizations use statistical process control to bring the organization to Six Sigma levels of quality which refers to the likelihood of an unexpected failure. Six Sigma quality is confined to six standard deviations on the normal distribution, a very small range of acceptable defect. The six sigma probability is less than four one-millionths. Quality assurance items controlled through statistical means often include clerical tasks, administrative task and conventional manufacturing tasks.
