Time and Attendance Systems

On modern time and attendance sytems, the employee usually enters an employee number, swipes a magnetic card or other device to identify the employee to the system. Then the employee then enters what should be recorded (i.e., "punching in", "punching out", lunch breaks, etc.,). These systems talk to the payroll system and can be configurd to talk to other systems as needed. Management can easily view attendance patterns by employee or group of employees, payroll accuracy is increased and cost of administration is reduced.
